Print Queues and Jobs
Open: /admin/printjobs. This is a separate administration screen from Printer Management; it is not a separate entry in the main menu.
Queues
Use Print Queues to search or refresh the queue list.
Create a queue
- Choose New Print Queue.
- Enter the queue name and select its target.
- Choose Save and check that the queue appears with the intended target.
Inspect or change a queue
Use a row's contents action to inspect its jobs. Before editing, inspect the outstanding work: updating a queue recreates it and loses all existing jobs. Continue with Update only when that loss is intended. The default queue's delete action is disabled.
Queue administration is separate from assigning a physical printer to a printer group.
Jobs
Open the Print Jobs tab and select a queue. Use search to narrow the jobs and the available actions to inspect, create, or delete them. Inspect an existing job before deleting it; deletion is not evidence that a printout completed.
If jobs do not progress, inspect Agents and the physical printer/client connection. Do not create repeated copies until you have checked whether the original has already printed.
Existing jobs cannot be edited
The job dialog can display an existing job, but the API does not support saving changes to it or toggling its state here. Do not use the dialog to mark output as completed. If a job must be replaced, first establish whether it already printed, then coordinate deletion and recreation with the operator.
